We have so far through the sites been talking, discussing, communicating, brainstorming, and even promising the World... and finally we said that we have shaped the World with quality for the future. The question is that... do we realize that there are so many people out there who know nothing about the web, have nothing to access the sites, proof nothing about the quality we have given and promised to the world... what can we say about this...
Hi Udan,
ReplyDeleteThis is where education can help. Maybe we cannot do anything to provide the necessary equipment, but by educating our students how they can use technology in order to improve their learning, we are educating future leaders of the country and making them see the importance of including technology in education, so that one good thing leads to another. Changes do not happen overnight, but it's important to start somewhere and to take the necessary steps that will make these changes happen.
Best regards,
Nina
Dear Udan,
ReplyDeleteWhat is it that makes you so pessi-realistic? We do understand that there are billions of people who are not know ABC of webworld. At the same time are that billions of those who know A 2 Z of Webworld. The change is happening. The people from the first group are moving very fast to the another group. The Teacher's is a ripple effect. Teacher can make this progression very fast. Within 5 years, we will see that the way BlackBoards and printed text books have penetrated the remotest part of the world, technology will penetrate and will have far better effect than blackboard and textbooks. You may argue that still there are places where even blackboard or textbook is distant idea. I would say technology will bring better and sooner results that what we have experiecned in last 10 years. The only thing required in electricity or to make use of solar energy. One we have laptops functioning on solar energy, you will see how fast and deep it penetrates to the poor of the world.
