I do not want you to leave me

We have been together in Building Knowledge and Skills for ten weeks. We have learned together various strategies, as well as online tools, for enriching our knowledge of teaching and learning. Great discussions have taken place among lovely students of this course. Honest, I do not want to stop this course... as also I always want to be with all of you in learning and practicing building knowledge and skills through the online approach. As I said, time is always our enemy to conduct improvement. To name, Dilip and Andreja are among us who are positivists. Deborah and Sandra are professional tutors who have successfully led us into an improvement of our capacity in teaching and learning through the Online. I have seen and witnessed honest comments and responses from most of us through our discussion of this course. Congratulation to all of us. I am lucky to be with all of you through the ten week online course.

If I had a choice...

I have learned lots and various technologies for teaching and learning from the course of Building Teaching Skills W2010, facilitated by lovely Deborah and Sandra, and partnering with most motivated classmates from all around the World. One hundred percent of the technologies and lessons are absolutely useful and original. Unfortunately, I have not fully taken advantages from the benefits. Interest does not always suit opportunity. Motivation does not always meet the demand. The most easiest and the safeties thing to do is blaming the time. We have always lack of time, because it is only 24 hours. We are all lucky in this World of having the 24 hours.

Learning Styles and internet technology for learning

Learning styles are important to understand. However, I believe that implementing the understanding when we are trying to use technology is more important. I have so far been conducting many predictive analysis on the possibility of recognizing the styles while developing internet and communication technologies based on my belief. I hope there are some friends of this Blog who can share to this Blog their actual experiences in accommodating the various learning styles into our teaching by using internet and other communication technologies. My questions are "Are we clear enough with the "learning" that is happening to the Learners? Can we gain robust and obvious results of the measure to their "Learning"? Are we insured by the validity of the results?"

Lets do it...

Just today, I feel very close to  my friends of my English Course. Sarah, Deborah, Dillip, Nina, and others are so inspiring friends. You are right my friends, the advances of technology are the innovation, and the unreached people out there are our challenge. We must go forwards to building knowledge and innovation in order for teaching and learning gets better in the near future .... lets do it.

Quantity versus Quality

We have so far through the sites been talking, discussing, communicating, brainstorming, and even promising the World... and finally we said that we have shaped the World with quality for the future.  The question is that... do we realize that there are so many people out there who know nothing about the web, have nothing to access the sites, proof nothing about the quality we have given and promised to the world... what can we say about this...

Via google for instance, we can store our documents and share them online, also we can chats, talks, and etc. This is unbelievable....

Self-bookmarked WebSite as a Digital Library

Best practices this week on bookmarking intended sites on our own delicious.com has inspired me to build digital library for several intended readings. As a teacher, we may facilitate our students with this useful digital collection (lets us say a digital library) that functions as a direction for the students to understand some intended concepts embedded in the listed readings. In Indonesia, students’ interest in readings is now starting to improve. In some big cities, internets are often becoming their choices for their readings. You all may not agree with me that not all readings available through the Internets are beneficial to students for the purpose of their mental health development. Therefore, direction from us is necessary. Bookmarking related, interesting, and resourceful readings into one place such as in our delicious.com may help our students and us to manage coherent understandings on certain intended meaning. I greatly appreciate all of this facilitation and discussion on this best practices, and special thank you to Sandra, Deborah for this important lesson.
